| Find out how far the light from your lamp can travel
before it becomes ineffective. Bulbs usually state their initial lumen
output. Mean output of a bulb during it`s useful life is around 20%
less. i.e. A 400 watt HPS bulb producing 52000 lm initially will have
an average output of around 41600 lm. |
| This calculator should only be used as a guide as a bulbs lumen
output will continue to drop throughout it`s life. To be certain your
plants are receiving the correct amount of light use a light meter. |

| Vegetative growth = 500 - 1500 fc |
Flowering = 1500 - 3000 fc |
